When you get a week vacation, what better to do then to go on a little city break right? Since we recently went to the Netherlands (Efteling adventures) we thought we’d explore a bit more and go to the capital. I’ve been there for a day or so when I went to school, didn’t get to see much so this trip was kind of a first for us both. Instead of showing some pictures I took I thought I’d show you some Polaroids of our Amsterdam trip.
We planned a bit in advance and booked a lovely looking Airbnb near a park, the weekend before we left we got a notification that he cancelled our stay (with no comment/reason). So we quickly went on a search to find a place to sleep. We’ve heard of the CitizenM hotel before and decided to take a look and immediately booked. And I’m glad we did, loved our short but sweet stay very much. (Take a closer look at the CitizenM hotel here!)
The hotel room is as big as the bed is wide, the shower and toilet are surrounded by glass and there is one big window. You can watch movies, set mood lighting and just relax, a really cool concept.
We visited some popular places, like this park where an I am Amsterdam sign and some museums were located.
We also visited a science museum. When you reached the top level you could go outside and take in this wonderful view of the city. (And that little spec in the air is a helicopter, not an ufo or something haha!)
On our last day we walked around the canals and shops for a little bit and came by this square with all these grand buildings.
And another park, its nice when there’s nature in a bigger city, a little sanctuary of peace.
It was a really nice, short Amsterdam trip. On to the next!
