Since we were in New York City we haven’t gotten the chance to eat bagels that much. I really liked them over there so we looked up a place in Bruges and went to get some hopefully delicious lunch at the Sanseveria Bagelsalon.
This Sanseveria Bagelsalon was near to us at the time so we called in the morning to reserve a spot for us at lunchtime. It’s a rather small space but that makes it a cosy and fun spot to eat. We were seated and chose our bagels. I had the ‘James’ bagel, it has mozzarella, tomato, pesto and some beef on it. It was so delicious! It was easy to eat, nothing fell out when you took a bite from the bagel. I was very happy with my choice.
The boyfriend chose the ‘Ruby’ which has melted brie, bacon, nuts and some greens in there. That looked so good as well, and he enjoyed it very much.
Since we chose the bagel lunch menu (bagel + beverage + dessert), we could choose a dessert. When we were arriving into the bagel place we could smell one of the pies that were freshly made coming out of the oven. The best smell ever when eating/arriving somewhere! So off course we were going to choose that pie we smelled. It was a home made pear pie with Nutella and a little crumble on top. Just amazing, especially because it was just the slightest bit warm. Mmmmm!
I would definitely recommend Sanseveria Bagelsalon when you’re in the area of Bruges and fancy a bagel. It’s a cute place to sit, friendly service, good prices (bagel lunch was €12) and great food.
Thought this was a funny tip jar they had at the counter. “Every time you tip, God kills a Justin Bieber fan.”
